Motivation
We need to upgrade to Plone 2.5.3 to resolve problem that Internet Explorer has with MSXML.Assumptions
There is too much work and testing required to go directly to Plone 3.0 and we can make this upgrade happen fairly quickly.Proposal
In order to upgrade to Plone 2.5.3, we need to verify that the product works ok with 2.5.3. At the same time, we want to ensure that we are using appropriate add-on products ... in some cases we got the product from the subversion trunk, not a production branch.Implementation
- Assign various developers to get appropriate versions of add-on products
- Set up a clean site with Plone 2.5.3
- Add/install products
- Test all eGov products
- Determine any fixes needed
- If fixes are required, develop plan for upgrading production site
