Using Links

• Link objects are used in Open-eGov to link to:
  • Resource documents in the Resources portlet
  • Service document in the Services portlet
  • Any internal or external content in a custom portlet
  • Display an external page while maintaining your site's skin (if Branded Link is installed)
  • Page templates or scripts to display dynamic content
• Where created:
  • navigation/resources folder for Resources portlet content
  • navigation/services folder for Services portlet content
  • custom/[any folder] folder for custom portlet content
  • almost any folder (except folders like resources and services where content types are restricted), but Open-eGov does not necessarily provide a way to access those automatically.
• Where public sees:
  • Resources portlet if in navigation/resources
  • Services portlet if in navigation/sercices
  • Custom portlet if in custom/[any folder]
  • Other places as user defines
